THE MANAGER-COACH PROGRAMME
~ INCREASE YOUR COACHING EFFECTIVENESS ~


 

OBJECTIVES


Typically, managers play the role of a coach to their direct-reports on day-to-day issues as well as longer-term matters including personal development and career management. This programme seeks to enhance your effectiveness in this role.

 

  • You will be introduced to a systematic coaching framework

 

  • You will have the opportunity to apply the framework as you role-play as coaches in various simulated work situations

 

  • You will also obtain feedback from fellow participants thus enhancing your awareness of the impact of your coaching style on others

 

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

 

  • Managers with direct-reports

 

CLASS SIZE

 

  • 12-16 participants

 

OUTCOMES

 

  • Adopt a methodical approach to coaching 
  • Gain awareness of the impact of your coaching style on others
  • Adjust your style according to the personality type of your “coachee”
  • Be better at coaching-related skills including active listening, inquiry/questioning techniques, paraphrasing techniques and problem-solving skills

 

PROGRAMME OUTLINE & METHODOLOGY

 

A two-day programme with participants working in small groups for role-play sessions and peer feedback.  The process will be facilitated by our professinal coaches.  One coach will be assigned to every 4-6 participants.  

 

  • Personality Profiling/Assessment 
  • Small-group work
  • Spark Asia Coach-guided role-play (videotaping optional but recommended)
  • Peer feedback
  • Plan for development
